Marg Helgenberger Marg Helgenberger, an American actor, gained fame with her role in the TV show "Ryan's Hope". The show has been a memorable journey for the small-town girl to Hollywood. She had never dreamed of acting in a film. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of her mother and be a nurse. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for acting while she was visiting colleges to decide which course she was interested in.
